Early Years Sports Day
On the 7th of March 2023, our Early Years Sports Day took place, and what a fun day that was! It's always heartwarming to witness the joy and excitement that children experience while participating in such activities, which will go a long way to foster a love for physical activity and sports in our young students.

Grade 9 Live-In Event
The long-awaited Grade 9 live-in, took place this weekend. Lots of fun was had with Laser Tag on the school grounds, fun games, a night hike followed by a traditional meal in the neighbouring village of Mgarr, toasted marshmallows by a bonfire at school and much more.

Twelve of our young athletes coached by San Anton Athletics Coach Mr. Vladimir Dushenkov, participated in the Winter Championship Malta Athletics Meeting, competing against other young athletes at the Marsa Track, over the weekend.

In today's world, education has taken on a new form and become more diversified, expanding beyond the four walls of a classroom. One of the many ways this is being achieved is through cross-curricular trips. Recently, a group of Grade 11 Art and History students, accompanied by their educators, had the privilege of visiting Rome and Florence during their Easter holidays.

Grade 12 Student congratulated by MATSEC for Outstanding Achievement
We are immensely proud of former Grade 12 student Izaak Scicluna (Class of 2022) who has just been congratulated by MATSEC for his outstanding achievement in the Secondary Education Certificate examinations and has been identified as one of the candidates with the highest achievement in these examinations, nationally.

Foundation Day Celebration
Last Tuesday evening, the San Anton School community gathered to commemorate the School's foundation day, coinciding with the feast of our esteemed patron saint, St. Anthony. The evening commenced with Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Oliver Borg Olivier, which was animated by the enchanting musical performances of Mr. Marvic and Ms. Janice, creating an atmosphere of reverence and harmony. It was a truly uplifting experience for everyone in attendance.

Grade 10 Live-In Experience
Over the weekend, the much-anticipated Grade 10 live-in took place. Students had lots of fun with a variety of activities that were planned out by our Youth Worker and supervised by the school's educators.
One of the highlights of the live-in was the private use of the Baystreet Arcade. Students got to enjoy virtual reality, laser tag, and various games with their friends. Additionally, they went on a night hike, followed by a traditional meal in Mgarr, and enjoyed toasted marshmallows by a bonfire at school.

Grade 9 Science Fair
On Friday 28th April 2023, excitement was palpable in the Senior Sector Science Wing, as the school hosted the Grade 9 Science Fair, marking its return after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic. The event showcased 28 investigative projects on the topic of Climate Change, with each student presenting their research question, methods, and findings to their parents and other students.

The Grade 7 Gozo Live-In Experience
On the 27th of April 2023, our Grade 7 students and their educators embarked on a much-awaited adventure to the beautiful island of Gozo for their Gozo Live-In experience. The trip was a wonderful opportunity for the students to learn beyond the classroom and create unforgettable memories.

Grade 5 Performing Arts Demos
Last week, our Grade 5 students performed 2 original plays written by our Junior Sector Teacher of Drama, Ms. Chiara Hyzler - 'Homelessness is Real' which brings to light the homelessness situation that does exist in Malta and which may not be apparent, and 'Journey to Home' which depicts a family fleeing from War.

SEA Our Future Campaign Raises €8,000 for NGO Zibel
This morning marked a truly special occasion as we concluded our SEA Our Future Campaign with an emotional presentation. Throughout this scholastic year, students from all sectors, guided by their dedicated educators, engaged in immersive learning about ocean literacy. This initiative was part of the San Anton School Community Social Engagement Programme, focusing on raising awareness about the sea and addressing the critical issue of marine pollution and other sea-related matters.

San Anton School awarded European Blue School Status
We are proud to announce that San Anton School has been awarded the status of European Blue School for our community engagement project, SEA Our Future, for the 2023/24 scholastic year. This certification is granted by the EU4Ocean Coalition, funded by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.

Children for Children Campaign raises €7,200 for Puttinu Cares
This morning marked a truly special occasion as we concluded our Children for Children Campaign with a heartfelt presentation. The San Anton School community came together and raised an impressive sum of €7,200 through various engaging activities as part of this year's San Anton School Community Social Engagement Programme. We had the pleasure of presenting Ms. Angele Cuschieri from Puttinu with a cheque for this remarkable amount.

Junior Sector Students raise a whopping €1600 for Puttinu Cares as part of our Children for Children campaign
Following last December's Expression of Interest to our Junior Sector, 13 groups of budding entrepreneurs and talented crafters rose to the occasion and made crafts in their free time, in order to raise money for Puttinu Cares ahead of next week's Crafts for Puttinu, as part of this year`s Children for Children campaign.
