On the 26th and 27th of April 2023, the Junior Sector Sports Days took place, and what fantastic events they were!
The days were filled with fun and friendly competition, showcasing what the children had learnt in their Physical Education (P.E.) lessons throughout the year. The P.E. Department did a great job setting up various stations with races and team games that allowed parents to watch their children participate in different sports. It was heartwarming to see parents move around and cheer for their children.
Watching children experience the joy and excitement of participating in sports and physical activities is incredibly rewarding, as it fosters a love for exercise and healthy competition in our young students. These sports events help children understand the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play. Not only do these values encourage physical activity, but they also promote healthy habits that can last a lifetime.
The Grade 4, 5, 6, and 7 students competed in different events, and each grade's winners were announced at the end of the sports day. Congratulations to the Reds for winning the Grade 4 and Grade 6 events, the Greens for their victory in the Grade 5 events, and the Blues for winning the Grade 7 events. It was a close contest, and all the students who participated put in their best effort. It was inspiring to see students encourage and support each other throughout the events.
The success of the Junior Sector Sports Days was a result of the combined efforts of everyone involved. We would like to extend our gratitude to the P.E. Department for their hard work and dedication in setting up the events. We also appreciate the educators who assisted with the activities and the parent volunteers who manned the refreshment stall.
The sports day was truly a collaborative effort, and it would not have been possible without everyone's support and contribution.
