Health & Safety Officer

Position Overview
The Health & Safety Officer forms part of the Operations Team. The Health & Safety Officer will be answerable to the Operations Manager and finally accountable to the Head of School.

Requirements

·      Be proficient at least in the English language;

 

AND

 

·      Be in possession of a recognised qualification at MQF Level 5 (subject to a minimum of 60 ECTS/ECVET credits or equivalent) in Health & Safety;

 

OR

 

·      Be in possession of a recognized qualification at MQF Level 6 in Health & Safety.

Prior work experience in the area of health and safety will be considered an asset.  Prior relevant experience will be taken into consideration for salary progression.

-      Good knowledge of any relevant legislation and application;

-      Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

-      Excellent organisation, prioritisation and problem-solving skills;

-      Cooperative and enthusiastic team player;

-      Able to work under pressure and on own initiative.
