Easter Trip to PGL Osmington Bay, UK

April 15, 2025

The Easter holidays brought an unforgettable adventure for our Grade 10 students as they set off on a week-long trip to PGL Osmington Bay in Dorset, accompanied by a group of dedicated and enthusiastic educators.

Nestled on the stunning Jurassic Coast, PGL Osmington Bay offers a unique blend of natural beauty and exceptional facilities.

Throughout the week, students threw themselves into an exciting array of outdoor activities—from zip-lining and rock climbing to abseiling and archery. Working in teams, they tackled challenges that tested their communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, all while building strong connections with their peers.

One of the most talked-about highlights was the giant swing, where students braved the thrill of being lifted high into the air before soaring through the sky. For many, it was a defining moment—overcoming fears and stepping out of their comfort zones to discover newfound confidence and pride in their achievements.

But the experience offered more than just adrenaline-fueled fun. It was a powerful opportunity for personal growth. Students developed key life skills such as resilience, leadership, and adaptability, learning to navigate new situations and embrace challenges with a positive mindset.

By the end of the trip, Grade 10 students returned with a renewed sense of self-belief and motivation, having proven to themselves what they’re capable of when they commit wholeheartedly. The journey also strengthened friendships and deepened the sense of unity within the year group.

This was San Anton School’s 17th visit to PGL—a tradition that speaks volumes about the value and impact of the experience. Of course, none of it would have been possible without the unwavering dedication of our exceptional educators, who ensured every student’s safety while creating a supportive and enriching environment.

We extend our sincere gratitude to these remarkable team members for their commitment, guidance, and encouragement. Their efforts helped create lifelong memories and inspired meaningful growth in every student.
