It is an integral part of art education at San Anton School to come in touch with local established artists and professionals in order to learn and progress through first hand experiences like painting outdoors. Furthermore, the MATSEC syllabus expects Art students to be exposed to Contemporary Art and the History of Art.
With this in mind the students were given the opportunity to visit St. John`s Co-Cathedral, St. James Cavalier, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Grand Master`s Palace and Auberge D`Italie and to view the contemporary Art exhibitions housed there.
Renowned watercolourist Kenneth Zammit Tabona was then invited to share his watercolour technique with the students in an open-air masterclass overlooking the Grand Harbout. This was definitely one to remember !
Head of School Ms. Vicki Anastasi commended this educational activity as it is in keeping with San Anton`s ethos of connecting classroom education with the outside world.
