San Martin Sponsored Walk 2016

The San Martin Walk is a much-anticipated event in the school calendar where the whole community comes together to celebrate this feast by means of a sponsored walk in the scenic countryside surrounding the school.

After a short rainy spell in the early morning, the weather thankfully cleared up and was ideal for this countryside activity. While the younger students went on an age-appropriate walk and picnic to Mellieha, the Junior students walked through the fields to the nearby San Martin cave, stopping for a picnic on the way back.

The Senior sector students walked along the Victoria Lines to Bingemma Chapel for their first stop and then proceeded towards Mgarr and then to Zebbiegh Church where fun games for teachers and students were organised.

At the various stops students could purchase refreshments which had been kindly prepared by parents and staff as a fundraising activity.

In the run-up to the event, each class in Senior Sector also organised various break-time activities such as bake sales and car washes to further improve on the funds raised in their sector

At the end of the day, everyone was given the traditional Borza ta`San Martin. An enjoyable day was had by students, teachers and parents alike.
