The San Anton School Open Day is a much anticipated event in the School Calendar and this year’s event on the 20th March 2013 was indeed no exception
It is an opportunity to showcase the students` work, projects and activities as part of their learning experience at school. Each year a selection of activities that differ in scope and content creatively reflect the curriculum throughout the various grades.
The Early Years and Junior Sector students and teachers put up beautiful displays and murals reflecting their chosen theme. Whilst the younger students presented various nursery rhymes and stories, the older students focused on various aspects of Maltese history and culture.
In Senior Sector parents are invited to enter the classrooms where students take centre stage presenting their project work and airing their views on a vast array of topics. This enables them to apply concepts and skills that they have learnt throughout the year.
All the work that goes into planning this day was well received by all the parents and relatives that attended. All the students were thrilled with the opportunity to show off their work.
“Open Day is testimony to the teaching and learning that goes on at San Anton School and to our commitment to form articulate, self-assured students who will excel in their chosen fields upon leaving our School,” concluded Dr. Joe Gauci, Head of School.
