The 8th edition of the Christmas Market at San Anton School on the 27th November 2016 proved to be a festive fun day out for the whole family with a difference.
The School was transformed into a Christmas haven and hundreds of visitors visited the various stalls selling gifts, seasonal treats and artisan products. The School was once again transformed into a Christmas haven and hundreds of visitors visited the various stalls selling gifts, seasonal treats and artisan products.
Children met the “real” Santa Claus in his Grotto and the Live Crib proved to be the main attraction where a wooden stable was purposely built in the School picnic area. With the support of local farmers this stable also housed live animals to transform the area into a typical nativity scene. Children visiting the Christmas Market were helped to dress up in nativity costumes and participate in this unique event.
Kids visiting the market were spoilt for choice as they listened to stories, participated in author workshops, wrote their letter to Santa, and joined in Christmas art, craft and baking workshops. Bouncy Castles, a Mega Slide and a Go-Cart Track also surely delighted the little ones in the play area. Bricks 4 Kidz Malta, also held 2 very popular Christmas workshops and we were treated to a surprise visit by Bricksy their mascot who made a rare European appearance!
The cast of Unbelieve it– MADC`s traditional Christmas Pantomine also visited the Christmas Market and entertained all those present with a couple of upbeat numbers.
All those who attended not only enjoyed shopping for presents but also enjoyed the festive atmosphere with other fellow parents and friends from outside the School community since the event was open to all.
It was surely a day to remember!
